Light Speed
I've never traveled through space at light speed, but I imagine that standing in this LED tunnel is pretty close to the dizzying experience. The video is just plain awesome.
The name of the installation is Multiverse, and it was installed by artist Leo Villareal in a 200-foot-long tunnel in the National Gallery of Art in Washingtong DC. The entire thing features 41,000 LEDs that animate and move on their own, using randomness to ensure that no one will see the same configurations twice. Multiverse will be on display throughout 2009.

In case you haven't guessed that magic trio, it's "no glasses required." We've seen the technology bandied about, but we're sensing that companies are about to get serious with it at CES 2009. Case in point: Alioscopy and TCL have tag-teamed in order to showcase the former's 3DHD autostereoscopic 3D LCD display (40-inch) and content creation technology in just under a month. There are no real details on the underlying juju, but you can bet we're stoked to see what it delivers in Vegas. Maybe those plans for a 3D Olympics in 2012 aren't all that loony after all?"

Back From New Zealand
Back and home in South Berwick. Its real strange being back...kind of feels like NZ was just a big dream and I never left here. Gotta wait until January to head back into school in Orono. Going to Alaska for 10 days for a class in April which im real psyched for. Anyways heres a sweet video, I love this guy.

E-bola.....but not the disease
E-Bola
"Bolas, or boladras, are throwing weapons used to trap / capture prey. Traditional bolas are made of weights attached to the ends of three connected secions of cord. When thrown, the weights will spin around the taul cords until the bola hits a its target. If the bola is thrown correctly the weights will have nough monentum to completely circle the target multiple times, wrapping / trapping it with the cords."
